AYNALIKAVAK MUSEUM

A former Ottoman pavilion

Connected to the Museum Square through the monumental Sultan’s Gate is the Aynalıkavak Pavilion - a former imperial Ottoman mini palace dating back to the 17 th century, which eventually became a museum of historic Turkish musical instruments. With its outstanding Ottoman baroque architecture and tranquil gardens overlooking unrivaled vistas of the Golden Horn, Aynalıkavak Pavilion offers a unique setting where the magic of the 18th-century Tulip Period still lingers on.
