Cake Picnic, the social gathering that has brought people together around shared tables and cakes in cities around the world, returns to Tersane Istanbul for its second edition.
On Sunday, August 23, a communal table will be set along the Golden Horn, bringing different cakes together against the backdrop of the sunset. From homemade recipes to much-loved bakery classics, every cake added to the table becomes part of an afternoon shaped by sharing, conversation and new encounters.
At the heart of Cake Picnic is a simple idea: everyone brings a cake to the table, tastes what others have brought and connects through the experience of sharing. Tersane Istanbul reinterprets this growing global format on the waterfront, pairing it with the Golden Horn sunset and live music for a distinctly Istanbul edition.
The Cake Picnic will take place from 17:00 to 19:00 . As the sun goes down over the Golden Horn, the evening will continue at 19:00 with a live performance by Buse Akyıldız.
Cake Picnic Sunset Party Vol. 2 brings cakes, conversation and music together for a late-summer evening at Tersane Istanbul.
Participation Guidelines
• To join the Cake Picnic, guests are required to bring one cake.
• Registration is mandatory for those bringing a cake.
• Loaf cakes, muffins, cookies, brownies and similar baked goods do not count as cakes for the purposes of the event.
• All styles of cake are welcome, from classic recipes to contemporary and creative interpretations.
• Gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free and other dietary-friendly cakes are also welcome at the table.
• Each cake must be accompanied by a clearly written note listing its ingredients and any potential allergens.
• All cakes are brought to be shared at the communal Cake Picnic table.
• Please make sure your cake is ready to be served and shared throughout the event.
